Circular routes of different levels; placid rides that suitable for the entire family; tracks located in amazing sceneries by the coastline; outings following paths that go through historical spots; reused rail trails that provide eco-friendly trips… Costa Daurada and Terres de l’Ebre are a small paradise for cycling lovers, with a wide and varied offer in itineraries, both inland and by the sea.

Very near your favourite campsite you’ll certainly find a route that will take you on a number of adventures, while doing sport riding your bicycle outdoors in permanent contact with nature. You choose the perfect level for you: go on a peaceful ride with the family, partner or yourself; or, if you feel like pushing yourself a bit more, find a more demanding and exciting one.

If you choose the first option, a quiet and easy ride, Terra Alta provides several BTT routes on a rail trail that will definitely suit your requirements. Dozens and dozens of miles following old railways –currently unused– that have been turned into plain and confortable paths. We strongly recommend stretch near Xerta and the one between Horta de Sant Joan and Benifallet.

If you’re near Tarragona, you can add history and heritage to these pleasant routes. For example, find a circular route round Arrabassada beach, which is very easy, and it takes around 1,30h; it will take you historical locations such as Fortí de la Reina, the river Francolí, the Ferreres aqueduct (aka Pont del Diable) or the Llorito caves. You can also follow the tracks that go from Tarragona and Torredembarra, or discover Ermita del Peiró hermitage.

However, if you think the above-mentioned route is a bit too short and you’d like to push yourself a little bit more, how about the fantastic “Ruta dels Masos de Tarragona” route? And, heading inland, in the Alt Camp region to be more specific, you can cycle along old farm tracks that merge with clear paths and steep slopes.

Those seeking for an even more demanding and exciting route will find the perfect routes too, like the Tarragona-Prades-Tarragona route, or the track existing between Horta de Sant Joan and Alfara de Carles, with B-road stretches and bits of steep trails and tracks.

So there you are: very near your campsite, find a true cycling adventure to suit every single level. Enjoy your ride!
